Regarding answering thai in this thread - IMHO why would anybody kick up a fuss about someone writing thai in a thai forum? I´m rather grateful for short snippets of thai script, because they´ll help me learn. Long texts take me too much time, short sentences are ideal for me at this point.

However, having lived abroad in multilingual contexts for a long time, I´d like to say that it can hurt a little when you make an effort to speak a foreign language, and then somebody writes back in your own language - simply because it makes you feel he does it because your level of proficiency in that language is so deplorable that it´s better to not make you speak it any further :-)

So... :-) I don´t know whether it´s good or not good to write Thai in this thread, but I think the only people who should rightfully complain about it are the thread starter and Ralf.

To the thread starter - you don´t worry about your English ok? It´s downright excellent and a pleasure to read. Folks writing back in Thai usually do so trying to be polite, or because they enjoy writing that language. It does not mean your English is inadequate - jing-jing :-)
