"by Jamie and Kara
"My friend and I were taking Thailand by storm, and decided at the last minute to spend a day in Phuket to work on our tans. Our flight was delayed so by the time we landed, I was in no mood to try to fight my way through the hoard of eager-to-fleece-the-foreigners taxi drivers to find a beach to sleep on or a hostel to crash at. We wandered into a bathroom far away from the main hoards, and it was clean enough that i would have eaten off the floor. We unrolled our sleeping bags and crashed for the night -- not one person came in the bathroom all night! To find this magic bathroom, when you exit your flight on the way to baggage, keep going straight past all the main doors where the taxis are waiting. It looks like you are headed nowhere, but when you come to a hall marked "Staff Only" turn right and the bathrooms are there, Male and Female. Furthermore, in the morning when we woke up, no taxis were to be found because it was too early. An eager security guard getting off his shift offered to drive us to Patong Beach, for a price of course! When we realized he didn't know where the beach was we were a little concerned, but all ended well and we both got nice tans. "

"Had to wait 6 hours for a flight in Phuket and was exhausted. The airport is bare-bones, but upstairs there are CBS's (curved bottom seats) in a little section where most travelers don't go. If you push the seats together, then you have one fine bed. Use earplugs for flight announcements. Good pub as well inside. ""
