Zitat :
"For example, we will put countries whose citizens have exploited Thailand as a sex-tour destination or as the setting for pornographic images on a black list, and remove those countries from our visa-allocation list," Purachai said.
TOUGH VISA REQUIREMENTS: Purachai vows to retaliate

To prevent the Kingdom from becoming a centre of transnational crime and to retaliate again countries that apply strict immigration procedures to Thais, the government will review visa-issuance criteria for citizens of each country every six months, Interior Minister Purachai Piumsombun said yesterday.
The interior minister said the government is to review its visa issuance policy to prevent members of transnational criminal organisations from easily entering Thailand. This might lead to the cancellation of the issuance of visas on arrival for citizens of certain countries.
The list of nations whose citizens could obtain visas on arrival in Thailand would be reviewed every six months, he said.
"For example, we will put countries whose citizens have exploited Thailand as a sex-tour destination or as the setting for pornographic images on a black list, and remove those countries from our visa-allocation list," Purachai said.
"We'll also be getting even with countries that do not allow Thais easy access. We'll make it hard for their citizens to get into our country as well. We won't treat people whose governments have failed to treat Thais with respect with any more respect," he said.
"Every nation has to maintain the dignity of its people," he added.
Over the past several years Thailand has opened up the country to promote the tourism industry. However, "from now on, the Thaksin administration will pay more attention to the quality of people getting into the country rather than the quantity," Purachai said.
At the same time, Purachai said the House of Representative has been considering an amendment to the Hotel Act intended to boost security for tourists. Once the change is approved, operators of any premises that offer accommodation for short-term rent, including guesthouses and condominiums, will have to register their premises with the government.
"The registration will help the government provide better security services to tourists," Purachai said.
